Heat 1/2 tbsp cooking oil in the frying pan/wok over medium-high heat (setting 7/9 on gas stove). Add the salmon skin-side down (if applicable) and pan-fry for 3-4 minutes until crispy.

Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove salmon from the pan and set aside.
